Allow me introduce you to the world of LeslieJames Events, where celebrations are more than just events — they're heartfelt expressions of love, family, and tradition :) Kelly is the creative genius behind the brand, with a passion for crafting unforgettable moments.
Named after her beloved parents, LeslieJames Events is all about honoring roots and making memories that last a lifetime. For Kelly, it's not just about planning weddings and milestone events; it's about being a trusted confidante and collaborator, “your favorite cool aunt”, and a cheerleader for her clients' wedding dreams.
Kelly came to me because she was tired of her DIY graphics on her website and felt the messy layouts were casting a shadow on the elegance she wanted to convey. She was also undergoing a brand refresh (see below)!
The GOAL
An elevated & cheerful website design
Kelly’s vision for the website was a fun & friendly vibe, like a warm hug from your bestie. Yet, it needed to be refined in order to properly reflect her years of expertise & professionalism. All in all the website should be a place where joy, creativity, and attention to detail come together seamlessly.
To bring it all to life, Kelly had some shiny new brand photos taken and had some sweet illustrations designed by the talented Serif & Sans. She then enlisted our Design Days service to transform her website in a six hour intensive!
I LOVE that Kelly is so not afraid to use color and prioritizes clean, easy-to-navigate page layouts! That’s what we kept in mind when reworking her pages. Take a look at the before & after of the Services page below:

The Solution
A 6-hour total transformation
Fast forward to our website makeover marathon. We rolled up our sleeves, cracked a few jokes, and got down to business. Out with the DIY graphics, in with the pro designs, ensuring readability and visual appeal on all devices.
We polished up layouts, elevated the fonts, refined the color scheme and swapped out photos! We also sprinkled client testimonials throughout and included a space for her brand values and favorite things, so she could build that more personal relationship with her audience. We even added in Kelly's brand illustrations for a pop of personality and charm here and there!
The result? A website that's as warm and inviting as Kelly herself — a digital space that captures the heart and soul of LeslieJames Events. Check out some closeups!
