“Not only does By Emily Jane specialize in wedding websites for wedding vendors, she knows what wedding vendors need. She knows what wedding vendors clients need to hear from them and see from them in order to be attracted to their brand and work with them. But she's also extremely talented with Squarespace and it is my platform of choice.
Before I worked with her, I was super embarrassed by my website. So embarrassed that I was sending people the link to my Instagram instead of my website. But it was so outdated. It was very DIY. And I was completely lost on how to translate the idea I had in my head and put it into website form.
But when I contacted Emily and we started working together, she was able to translate that vision through my questionnaire, my Pinterest boards, and what I had told her in general when I first reached out about what I wanted from my website and make it even better. And it blew me out of the water. Like this website is my dream website that I had been dreaming of for years and couldn't DIY myself.
One of my favorite parts about working with her was when she sent the vision board and I melted because all my worries were then off my shoulders. And she even gave me recommendations on small changes that we can make to my already DIY'd brand. It overall just gave my brand a facelift and made it feel so much more cohesive and connect with my ideal audience in an even more powerful way.
Another aspect that I liked about working with her is how collaborative she is throughout the process. She didn't just send me the already finished website and just told me “it's finished!” But she explained why she made certain decisions in the design process and where things were and let me ask questions and was very receptive to any changes that I thought would be necessary to make it better and connect with my ideal clients.
After working with her, I feel more confident as a business owner. I know what direction my brand is going. I am no longer sheepishly sending people my Instagram, but I am confidently telling them to go to AnnieShannon.co, and they are so impressed to the point where I have an array of people reaching out to me and telling me how amazing the website is, from 72-year-old women to potential clients to even other wedding vendors on Instagram DMing me that my website is “level 11.”
